Nieuwsbrief BC Kimbria oktober 2024 (2)
Beste Kimbrianen,
Het seizoen is inmiddels weer goed en wel onderweg. De meeste teams draaien goed en gaan lekker in hun competities, dus lekker bezig! Verder beweegt er van alles op de achtergrond en binnen de club!
Als bestuur hebben we weer een paar onderwerpen te bespreken. Dat zijn:
- Een minder leuk bericht om te beginnen: in overleg en samenwerking met de leden van het Dames 1- team is het niet gelukt om een voltallige spelersselectie of een coach te vinden. Daardoor zijn we helaas genoodzaakt geweest om het team terug te trekken uit de competitie. We zullen er alles aan doen om in de toekomst weer een D1-team op touw te zetten! Daartegenover staat dat we, vanwege de grote belangstelling, nog een recreantenteam hebben opgestart: Recreanten 4. Zij trainen op donderdagavond en staan onder leiding van Ewoud Faas en Hugo Bertijn.
- We horen veel geluiden dat er op trainings- en wedstrijddagen personen op de velden rondlopen die geen lid zijn van de club, of clubleden die op die dagen geen training of wedstrijd hebben (en daar dus niets te zoeken hebben). Voor alle duidelijkheid: als je geen lid bent van de club (en dus van een team) en als je geen wedstrijd of taak hebt, mag je je niet op de velden begeven! Dus als je vrienden, broertjes, zusjes en zo hebt die basketbal interessant vinden en dus op de velden rondrennen: stuur ze door naar ledenadministratie@kimbria.nl, dan kunnen ze op de juiste manier kennismaken met de club!
- Daarnaast nogmaals de oproep om de materialen die tijdens de training en wedstrijden worden gebruikt na afloop goed op te bergen! Met name de basketballen slingeren vaak rond en raken daardoor kwijt – dat is tot nu toe al een kostenpost van 500 euro(!!). Let dus op je eigen en onze spullen!!
- We hebben gemerkt dat er toch nog een aantal gevallen zijn geweest waarbij ingeplande scheidsrechters en juryleden niet zijn komen opdagen. Dat is voor iedereen zeer frustrerend – dat wil je bij je eigen wedstrijd ook niet, toch? Zorg dus dat je goed de lijsten die het bestuur rondstuurt leest en goed in je agenda noteert. We zeggen het nog maar een keer: Voorkom boetes en schorsingen en voer je taken fatsoenlijk uit! We zullen ons beleid streng blijven handhaven!
- Inmiddels is de Grote Clubactie alweer een paar weken onderweg. We hebben goede resultaten maar lopen nog steeds achter op vorig seizoen! We hebben nog een paar weken te gaan, dus ga voor de eindsprint en zorg dat je zoveel mogelijk loten verkoopt! Uiteraard maak je kans op mooie prijzen!
- Volgende week (van 22 -27 oktober) is het herfstvakantie en zijn er geen trainingen!! Zegt het voort!
Tot slot nog even aandacht voor de Sponsorkliks. Dit is weer wat aan de aandacht ontsnapt, maar het makkelijk geld verdienen voor de club! Bestel je vaak dingen bij bol.com of Coolblue? Gebruik dan Sponsorkliks – en steun de club financieel!

Dear Kimbrianen,
The season is now well underway. Most teams are running well and doing well in their competitions, so keep it up! Aside from that, there is a lot going on in the background and within the club!
As a board we have a few topics to discuss. These are:
- Not a very nice news item to begin with: in consultation and cooperation with the members of the Women’s first team, we did not succeed in finding a full player selection or a coach. As a result, we have unfortunately been forced to withdraw the team from the competition. We will make every effort to field a D1 team again in the future! On the other hand, due to great interest, we have started another recreational team: Recreanten 4. They train on Thursday evenings and are led by Ewoud Faas and Hugo Bertijn.
- We are receiving a lot of messages stating that, on training and game days, there are people walking around on the fields who are not members of the club, or club members who are not training or competing on those days (and therefore have no business being there). To be clear: if you are not a member of the club (and therefore of a team), or if you do not have a game to play or task to perform, you are not allowed to be on the court! So if you have friends, brothers, sisters and so on who find basketball interesting and are running around on the courts: please direct them to ledenadministratie@kimbria.nl, so they can be properly introduced to the club!
- In addition, we call upon you again to properly store the materials used during practice and games after they are finished! In particular, the basketballs often keep lying around and get lost that way – that has already cost the club 500 euros(!!!). So pay attention to your own and our belongings!!!
- We have noticed that there have still been some cases where scheduled referees and jury members have not shown up for their tasks. This is very frustrating for everyone – you wouldn’t want that on your own game day either, right? So be sure to read carefully the lists the board sends around and note them well in your calendar. We’ll say it again: perform your duties decently and avoid fines and suspensions! We will continue to strictly enforce our policy!
- Meanwhile, the Grote Clubactie is already a few weeks underway. We have good results but are still behind last season! We still have a few weeks to go, so go for the final sprint and make sure you sell as many tickets as possible! Of course you can win great prizes!
- Next week (from October 22 -27) is fall break and there are no training sessions!!! Spread the word!
Finally, some attention for Sponsorkliks. This has escaped attention again, but it is easy to earn money for the club! Do you often order things at bol.com or Coolblue? Then use Sponsorkliks – and support the club financially!
